Pastor Alvin J. Denson is a passionate yet humble servant leader; truly a man after God’s own heart. He is genuinely sincere in his call to preach the gospel of peace. As an under shepherd he approaches spiritual responsibility concerning the care and ministering to God’s people with all gravity.

Prior to the current assignment as Senior Pastor and founder of the Walking By Faith Community Church (WBFCC) Pastor Denson received his seminary education and training from the Missouri General Baptist Association in Springfield, Missouri, under the tutelage of Pastor Harold F. Griffin and the Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church.

Pastor Denson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the North Carolina School of Theology. He has served in numerous pastoral and church leadership positions with God’s favor and humility.

While serving as Assistant Pastor of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Matthews, NC; Pastor Denson established the first African American Boy Scout troop in the area (TP# 111). He also produced and directed a series of youth biblical mini dramas for the church and community.

After seven years of faithful service under the leadership of Senior Pastor L. W. Whitley and Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church; God purposed in the heart of Pastor Denson the vision and birth of Walking By Faith Community Church. Following God’s lead and remaining in constant prayer and supplication; step by step God brought His plan to fruition. Joined by his leading Lady, Minister Donna Denson, and ten charter members; Pastor Denson established the Walking By Faith Community Church.
